About the course

For centuries, there has been movement of people from one corner of the world to the other.  Some of these movements have been voluntary while others forced. Those that have been forced, have caused an influx of millions of refugees living in different communities.

The Diploma in Refugee Studies & Forced Migration will prepare one to further their studies in understanding the modern refugee crisis and forced migration of people.  After completing the course, one may also work with relevant organizations dealing human rights, refugees, and migration.  Uganda alone has different refugee camps that accommodate people from different countries and communities.  

The course is one of a kind designed to offer an intellectually demanding, interdisciplinary route to understanding forced migration in contexts of conflict, repression, natural disasters, environmental change and development.
