At TIEA, we host different categories of people who come to learn but also who come to mentor, and pass on what they have to the Tourism & Hospitality Professionals we train. Over the years, we have hosted guests that range from volunteers, students from other tertiary training institutions, Ambassadors, Politicians, Professors among others. We are always open to receive guests.

Academicians, Professionals, Politicians and Diplomats

If you are looking for a place where you can go and inspire young people who are getting training to serve in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality industry, then look no more. Tourism Institute of East Africa, has a place where you can come and spend quality time with students, mentoring, coaching, and training them to be the right people the Tourism and Hospitality industry is looking for. Your experience is vital. Your expertise is important and needed and your presence valued. Sign up with us and we shall be able to make arrangements for you to come during the time of the year. Right now the program is open in our Kampala main campus but as open up other Training Campuses in the country and the region, we will arrange for you to visit our other campuses as well. We also have universities we work with so if you are interested in offering your expertise, we connect you to our partners.

Among the people we have hosted are: Hon. Tim Walberg-United States of America Congressman representing Michigan's 7th District. H.E. Ambassador Olive Wonekha-Uganda's Ambassador to Rwanda (she was Uganda's Ambassador to the US). Mr. Peter Myles from UNWTO.

Employers

We host Employers from different establishments e.g. Tourism, Hotels, Restaurants, Travel Agencies, Aviation industry etc. The purpose of their visit is to come and share with our students/trainers about the field they intend to join. The challenges faced and the benefits in the industry. Employers also interact with students to identify those that can be employed by them.

Employees

Different employees from Travel, Tourism and Hospitality industry also come and share their experiences with our students
and share with them the life in the field and how to prepare for the field.

Entrepreneurs

We have received and continue to host those that have started and run their own businesses in the sector. The purpose of entrepreneurs is to share their experiences that in turn would inspire students/trainers who are aiming at starting their own businesses.

Student Volunteers

We have Students Volunteer program for students coming from universities and/or tertiary institutions, looking for a place to conduct their research or internship training for a given period of time.
