Tourism Institute of East Africa – Nairobi Campus | Opening 2026
A new era is unfolding for Kenya’s tourism and hospitality education. The Tourism Institute of East Africa (TIEA) is setting foot in Nairobi — a vibrant city known for its energy, innovation, and connection to the world. With the opening of the TIEA Nairobi Campus in 2026, Kenya’s aspiring tourism professionals will finally have a dynamic learning environment that reflects the excellence and ambition of the nation’s tourism industry.
This expansion represents more than a new institution — it’s a regional movement to build Africa’s next generation of tourism leaders. TIEA brings to Nairobi a modern approach to learning, where academic knowledge is blended with practical industry experience, global exposure, and the latest trends shaping the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors.
Our training model is built on connectivity — connecting campuses, countries, and people. Each student at TIEA will have the opportunity to study at another campus in a different East African country for one month, gaining firsthand exposure to diverse tourism ecosystems. Through this immersive experience, students will develop cross-cultural skills, adaptability, and a regional mindset that sets them apart in the global market.
At TIEA, both students and lecturers travel, learn, and share knowledge across borders. Faculty members from Uganda, Tanzania, and other TIEA campuses regularly visit and teach in Nairobi, ensuring that every classroom becomes a crossroads of ideas, perspectives, and innovation. This constant exchange of expertise builds a truly East African learning community rooted in collaboration and diversity.
The Nairobi Campus will be a place where passion meets professionalism — equipped with modern facilities, digital learning tools, and industry partnerships that ensure every learner is ready for the real world. From tourism management and hospitality operations to event planning and destination marketing, TIEA Nairobi will prepare students to lead with confidence, creativity, and competence.
As Kenya continues to stand tall as one of Africa’s premier travel destinations, TIEA Nairobi will play a central role in shaping the people who tell its story, run its hotels, guide its visitors, and drive its tourism economy forward.
Opening in 2026, the Tourism Institute of East Africa – Nairobi Campus will become a home of opportunity and transformation.
A place where students discover their potential, lecturers inspire change, and Africa’s tourism future takes shape.
