Tourism Institute of East Africa – Hoima Campus | Opening 2026
The Tourism Institute of East Africa (TIEA) is proud to announce the upcoming Hoima Campus, set to open in 2026, marking a bold step in bringing world-class tourism and hospitality education to Uganda’s rapidly growing western region. Hoima, a city of ambition, resilience, and opportunity, is now becoming a beacon for young talent eager to make their mark in the tourism and service industries.
The TIEA Hoima Campus will do more than teach; it will transform lives. Here, students will gain hands-on experience, industry exposure, and entrepreneurial skills, preparing them to excel in hotels, tour operations, event management, and destination development — locally, regionally, and globally.
At TIEA, we believe education thrives when boundaries disappear. Every student at Hoima will have the opportunity to study for one month at another TIEA campus across East Africa, exchanging ideas, experiencing diverse cultures, and expanding their professional networks. Faculty from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and beyond will also rotate through Hoima, ensuring students benefit from a wealth of knowledge and perspectives that span the region.
Hoima’s campus will serve as a hub of innovation, practical learning, and leadership development, equipping students not only with technical skills but with the confidence and vision to create opportunities, inspire communities, and drive the tourism sector forward.
Come 2026, Hoima will welcome a new generation of tourism leaders to a campus built on excellence, innovation, and collaboration —
The Tourism Institute of East Africa, Hoima Campus.
A place where talent meets opportunity, where education sparks transformation, and where Africa learns together.
