Tourism Institute of East Africa – Kabale Campus | Opening 2026
The Tourism Institute of East Africa (TIEA) is proud to announce the upcoming Kabale Campus, opening in 2026, in the heart of Uganda’s breathtaking highlands. Known as the “Switzerland of Africa,” Kabale offers a landscape of rolling hills, lakes, and cultural richness that makes it the perfect setting for a campus dedicated to tourism and hospitality education.
At TIEA Kabale, students will gain more than just academic knowledge — they will immerse themselves in real-world tourism experiences, learning from the local hospitality industry, eco-tourism sites, cultural centers, and conservation initiatives. Every lesson is designed to transform curiosity and passion into professional excellence.
Our cross-campus exchange program ensures that Kabale students will spend a month at other TIEA campuses across East Africa, experiencing different cultures, tourism markets, and operational practices. Likewise, lecturers from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and beyond rotate through the campus, bringing diverse expertise and global insights to the classroom.
The Kabale Campus is envisioned as a hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable tourism practices. Students will leave ready not only to serve the tourism sector but to lead, create opportunities, and showcase Uganda’s highland heritage to the world.
Come 2026, Kabale will become more than a destination — it will be a launchpad for East Africa’s next generation of tourism and hospitality leaders.
