Tourism Institute of East Africa – Arusha Campus | Opening 2026

The Tourism Institute of East Africa (TIEA) is proud to announce the establishment of its Arusha, Tanzania Campus — a new home for the next generation of tourism, hospitality, and service industry professionals. This milestone marks a major step in fulfilling TIEA’s mission to make world-class tourism education accessible to all East Africans, right where they live.

Come 2026, students in Tanzania will no longer need to travel abroad to acquire the knowledge, skills, and global exposure needed to thrive in the dynamic tourism and hospitality industry. TIEA is bringing international-quality, industry-driven training directly to Tanzania, tailored to the needs of a modern, fast-growing tourism economy.

At TIEA, we believe that true education goes beyond the classroom and beyond borders. Our unique academic model connects all our campuses across East Africa — in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and beyond — creating a vibrant network of learning, culture, and innovation. Every student enrolled at TIEA will reach a stage where they undertake a one-month academic exchange at another TIEA campus in a different country. This transformative experience gives students first-hand exposure to new environments, regional tourism dynamics, and diverse professional practices — helping them grow into well-rounded, globally-minded professionals.

Equally, our lecturers are not confined to one campus. Faculty members from Uganda, Kenya, and other TIEA centers will regularly visit and teach at the Arusha Campus, sharing their specialized expertise and enriching the student experience with multi-country perspectives. This continuous exchange of knowledge between staff and students across borders sets TIEA apart as a truly East African center of excellence in tourism and hospitality training.

The Arusha Campus will stand as a beacon of innovation, practical learning, and international collaboration. Through modern training facilities, digital learning platforms, industry attachments, and partnerships with leading tourism and hospitality enterprises, TIEA aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, equipping students with the competencies to lead, innovate, and transform the sector.

TIEA Arusha will not only educate but also inspire — nurturing the next generation of destination managers, tour operators, hoteliers, event planners, and tourism entrepreneurs who will shape the future of Tanzania’s tourism industry and elevate its standing on the global stage.

Come 2026, Tanzania’s tourism and hospitality students will finally have a place to call home — The Tourism Institute of East Africa, Arusha Campus.
A place where dreams meet opportunity, where knowledge meets experience, and where Africa learns together.
