Mugoga also called on all stakeholders to strengthen partnership with the private sector to better improve tourism services in the country. The fraternity say the ministry should know and recognize all players in the private sector to increase sector engagement.

"We need to strengthen ourselves as players in the industry by working closely with the ministry who should know our existence in the industry," said Mugoga

Mugoga said there is also need to re-align tourism training courses with emphasis on practical education which is more engaging compared to only theoretical arrangement.

His comment comes at a time the Minister of Tourism Wild life and Antiquities, Maria Mutagamba recently called for more stakeholder engagement to develop the industry.

Mutagamba observed that Uganda is gifted by nature but there is limited marketing of our resources in the diaspora.
